Comparision of Landsat and OKEAN-O Satellite Imagery

ULRMC executed a subcontract in the last half of 2000 for the Space Research Institute, under contract with the National Space Agency of Ukraine, to assess the usefulness of Okean-O imagery.

Okean-O is a Ukrainian-Russian satellite that offers imagery comparable to that of the U.S. government's Landsat 7. This subcontract afforded ULRMC the opportunity to acquire several Okean-O images for various parts of Ukraine. Some examples of the work undertaken are provided below.
