Upon the invitation from the Ministry for Environmental Protection of Ukraine, ULRMC participated in the International Exhibition-Fair "Ecology - 2006", which took place on 4 -7 April, 2006 in Kyiv at the Expocenter of Ukraine, hall No. 23 "Science".

The exhibition organizers include: National Academy of Science of Ukraine, Ministry for Environmental Protection of Ukraine, and Ministry of Emergencies and Affairs of Population Protection from Consequences of Chornobyl Catastrophe of Ukraine. The exhibition was aimed at particular solving of environmental problems.

Exhibition participators included 95 ministries, enterprises, organizations and institutes. Main of them are the following: ministries-organizers, OJSC "Dniproazot", OJSC "Zaporizkyi Metallurgical Integrated Works "Zaporizhstal", OJSC "Zaporizhkoks", OJSI "Metalstal Kryvyi Rih", state specialized enterprise "Chornobyl Nuclear Power Station" etc.

During the exhibition, there were hold seminars, round tables, and lectures on environmental activity and nature use.

At the exhibition, ULRMC represented a stand presenting results of 24 projects implementation using high resolution satellite images (IKONOS, QuickBird etc.), including projects on generating orthophotomaps and generalizing materials on land inventory for the Crimean Southern Coast, satellite monitoring for ecology of the Danube mouth in the navigation channel area, and projects with GIS development and use of Dynamic Atlas software product (SKE Inc. Canada). Also, ongoing computer presentation of ULRMC's achievements was performed and a plane-table with mosaics of generalized IKONOS images for the whole Crimean area was demonstrated at the exhibition.
