A meeting with representatives of Canadian governmental institutions took place at the ULRMC’s premises. This action was a part of an introductory visit of the First Deputy Minister of Environment Canada under preparation to participation in the International Conference on Joint Implementation Projects, which will took place this year in October, in Kyiv.

The meeting participants included Semy Watson, First Deputy Minister of Environment Canada, David McGovern, Deputy Minister of Environment Canada, George V. Grushchenko, Trade Commissioner, Embassy of Canada, Darren Goetze, Senior Policy Advisor, Olena Yavorska, Deputy Minister of Environment of Ukraine, Volodymyr Riabtsev, Head of the Department for Technogenic and Environmental Policy of the National Security Council of Ukraine, Viktor Doroshenko, Deputy Director of the Institute of National Security Problems, Oleksandr Kolodyazhnyy, ULRMC Acting General Director, Valeriy Serenko, ULRMC Head of Projects Department, and Oleksandr Mazurkevych, ULRMC Technical Advisor.

ULRMC’s and SKE’s (the Canadian company) possibilities and proposals on a joint project for the benefit of Ukraine and Canada were represented to participants at the meeting. While discussing future prospects, the parties expressed their interest in generating joint projects and defined key trends of future collaboration.
