September 15, 2004 - ULRMC staff congratulated 2003-2004 University Fellowship Program (UFP) students with successful completion of the academic year. The students, who have worked on their Bachelor's, Master's and Ph.D. degrees, presented project results that were achieved with support of ULRMC specialists in the areas of remote sensing applications, GIS and other information technologies.
During the 2003-2004 academic year, the students had an opportunity to work on the following theses which were successfully defended at ULRMC in May 2004 and were/will be used in their final papers for graduation from their universities:
- Maksim Kolomyitsev "Relay Line Design Optimization for Cellular Communication" ;
- Sergiy Aksiom "Assessment of Mechanisms of Regional Underflooding Development in the South of Ukraine with the Help of Remote Sensing and Assessment on the Basis of GIS";
- Volodymyr Nochvai "Study and Forecast of Atmospheric Pollution in Urbanized Territories (on the basis of Kyiv example)";
- Anna Kozlova "Pilot GIS Development for the Regional Landscape Park "Granitno-Stepove Pobuzhya"";
- Grygoriy Kolomytsev "Remote Sensing and GIS Use in Analyzing Birds Biordiversity Indicators of Kyiv Agglomeration and Surrounding Territories under the Condition of Anthropogenic Factors Influence";
- Oksana Drebot "Landuse System Optimization in the Ukrainian Polissya With the Purpose of Agrolandscape and Biosystems Improvement Using Remote Sensing and GIS".
All of the students expressed gratitude to the ULRMC staff for their support in preparing their theses.
ULRMC will conduct the 2004-2005 UFP, beginning from November 2004.
