September 10-11, 2004 - ULRMC took part in the conference "EU Enlargement, Poland and the Neighbors Focus on Early Warning and Civic Security" organized by STETE (The Finnish Committee for European Security) in co-operation with the local partners (international department of the Pomerania Voivodship, Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Poland, Gdansk Institute for Market Economy).

The purpose of the conference was to promote a discussion on the region's stability and cross border co-operation in the new period within the framework of the Northern Dimension. The forum gathered together and initiated a dialogue between politicians, officials, business representatives, researchers, journalists and NGO people, as well as other active individuals from Poland, the Baltic countries, the Scandinavian countries, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and other international organizations. ULRMC representative also had a chance to discuss with some participants the possibilities of future cooperation on a regional level.
