November 7, 2003 - As a result of an open competition for Altarum/Nansen University Fellowship Program (UFP) in Ukraine, announced by ULRMC on October 1, 2003, ULRMC representatives selected 5 students out of 10 applicants who would take part in the program in 2003-2004 academic year.
UFP aims to provide financial, infrastructure and intellectual support to Ukrainian students pursuing advanced degrees in the application of satellite remote sensing (R/S), geographic information systems (GIS), digital mapping, and other advanced information technologies to environmental and natural resources management issues in Ukraine.
The following students were selected for 2003-2004 UFP:
- Volodymyr Nochvai, third year Ph.D. student, Kyiv-Mohyla Academy
- Maxim Kolomytsev, third year Ph.D. student, National Technical University
- Olexiy Aksiom, second year Ph.D. student, Taras Shevchenko National University
- Anna Kozlova, second year master's student, Kyiv-Mohyla Academy
- Grygoriy Kolomytsev, bachelor's student, Taras Shevchenko National University.
