The American Embassy included the dinner venue in the Ambassador's planned visit to Crimea, in order to brief Ambassador Pascual and his delegation on the proceedings and preliminary results of the conference. Consistent with the goals of the ULRMC project, Ambassador Pascual had an opportunity to discuss current Ukrainian secrecy laws that substantially restrict access to and use of high-resolution satellite imagery and large-scale cartographic materials. The American Embassy in Kyiv has advanced these discussions in recent weeks with the government of Ukraine, using talking points provided by ULRMC and Altarum at the request of the Ambassador.
