American Matt Krogh, 31, has joined the Ukrainian Land and Resource Management Center (ULRMC) as Technical Advisor.
At ULRMC Krogh will help apply geographic information systems (GIS) and remote sensing to ecological and natural resource related questions.
Krogh previously worked in the United States for the International Society for Optical Engineering, developing and promoting educational programs focused on lasers, electronic imaging, fiber optics, and remote sensing.
Krogh is a graduate of Huxley College of the Environment, where he received his BS in Environmental Science, and is currently a Masters Candidate in geography at the same college.
Krogh is accompanied by his fiancee and seven-year-old daughter. When not at ULRMC or with family, Krogh searches for rock climbing guidebooks for Crimea and/or north central Ukraine.
